Our Growing Family

Life has been a very interesting mix of events going on lately. In October we found out that we were going to have a baby. Pregnancy is something I struggle with and it really made it hard for me to keep up with all my writing. Thus my earnings per month went down dramatically during that time.

We found out that our baby girl was due June 21st, 2009. May 19th contractions started getting really bad. I went to the hospital and was kept there over night. While the contractions weren't completely gone by morning I hadn't progressed and they sent me home. For the next 9 days I had a lot of contractions. May 28th I went to my weekly appointment and found out I was dilated to a 4. With all the contractions and really high blood pressure they sent me to the hospital. I arrived at 10:30 and at 3:30 was told that they were going to induce and we were going to have the baby.

Vanessa Grace arrived at 8:37 pm. She was healthy, a beautiful shade of pink, six pounds even, and 19 inches long. She is almost two months old and there are a few things I had forgotten. First, I forgot what it was like to have a newborn. Second I forgot what it was like not to sleep through the night (our son Marcus slept through the night at four weeks, something Vanessa refuses to do yet). While I continue to work hard to make money online, it is hard to do with a three year old (Marcus turned three on June 20th) and a brand new baby...
